Product Care

Beeswax:

We use Gilly's beeswax on our timber furniture and toys.  Beeswax products often need a refresh after 6-12 months depending on use.  We use and recommend Gillys Wax products (Australian made in Western Australia) and stock these also.

Raw pine timber products:

For those who prefer not to use beeswax, we are more than happy to discuss options with you and leave raw timber finish for you to use your own preferred products.  We do strongly recommend the timber is sealed and coated with something whether it be tung oil, linseed oil or other natural timber coatings to preserve and maintain the timber.  

Timber products with a matte varnish finish:

Some products such as our sensory play table and toddler easel have a more water resistant, low VOC matte marine grade varnish finish.  Our timber products with a varnish finish can be used both indoors or outdoors, however are not designed to be left out in the weather. If left out for long periods in the elements as after time the finish will deteriorate and grey.
After use simply wipe down any water before storage. 

Fabrics:

Silks can be handwashed in cool water and ironed on a silk setting.    Cotton/Flannel Fabric items can be washed gently, air dried and ironed. It is recommended to avoid use of bleaches or soaking agents in case of any discolouration.  Please avoid use of dryers as product may shrink.
